This is a range of Data Acquisition unit with a ZigBee Wireless interface making them extremely easy to use and deploy in a multitude of applications and environments.

Initially the range consists of standard Host and Slave modems which allow a wide variety of Serial (RS232 or RS485) and Ethernet based devices to be introduced to a Wireless ZigBee Network. These modems can be used as transparent converters where the device to be connected has an address, the unit itself can also be configured as the network address for the connected serial device (useful for devices such as Bar Code scanners or other simple devices with no internal address). Alternatively the modems can also communicate using Modbus RTU or TCP/IP.

The first two units with built in Signal Inputs are also available. These are the ZB-2053 isolated Digital Input unit and the ZB-2060 Isolated Digital Input/Relay Output unit. Further modules are due to be released during 2009.
